Dr. Deepti Mishra M.S., M.Ch.,

Dr. Deepti Mishra is an expert in the field of Surgical Oncology. After finishing her super speciality degree at Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, she went abroad to refine her skills further in field. During her training, she realized there was a huge unmet need of oncology services in peripheral part of India, which could only be fulfilled by decentralization of trained experts. Her first stint was managing a prominent Oncology Center in Belgaum, Karnataka. She then shifted to her current location at Namakkal, Tamilnadu, to establish an institution that focused on performing complex oncology work at an affordable cost.

Dr Deepti Mishra

She established a dedicated Breast Cancer Unit in 2015 and introduced the concept of breast conservation surgery and plastic reconstruction in this area. Currently the unit treats around 200 patients with breast related disorders a month.

Her core interest is in performing complex general surgical oncology procedures which includes surgeries for advanced gastro-intestinal, gynecological, urological and head neck cancers requiring multi organ resection and reconstruction. She built a team of specialists and support staff to care for these complex patients, at each time bearing in mind the cost implications.

She also runs the Minimal Access Oncology Program at Thangam Cancer Center, Namakkal. She has gained popularity by providing non-mutilating and fertility preserving procedures to women with cancer. She has completed more than 200 gynecological and gastrointestinal cancer surgeries laparoscopically for women in the last two years.

She is also very active on the social front. In each step of her career, she has worked hard to spread cancer awareness and breaking cancer related myths in society. She has conducted more than 300 camps, seminars, exhibitions, and interaction programs in and around Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
