Dr. Aruna Prabhu M.S., M.Ch.,

A trained surgical oncologist, Dr Aruna Prabhu has specialized from leading pioneer institutes around the world. Her passion to serve society brought her to settle in Namakkal.

She takes special interest in peritoneal surface oncology, breast cancer and gastrointestinal cancer. To establish Peritoneal surface oncology unit, she travelled across the globe to get trained by experts. Under her guidance these units provide cytoreduction surgeries, HIPEC (Heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy), intraperitoneal chemotherapy for advanced cancers of ovary, stomach, colorectal, pseudomyxoma and rare cancers affecting peritoneum. She has developed a capable team to manage this demanding field. She has successfully conducted about 100 procedures in the last 2 years at the most affordable cost. Her motto is that no patient with advanced stage cancer should be deprived of the treatment.

She is an expert in the field of breast cancer. Training in highest volume centers gives her an edge to deal with breast cancer scientifically. She is instrumental in providing aesthetic surgery in breast cancer by adopting conservation and reconstruction procedures in breast cancer.

Dr Aruna Prabhu strongly believes that the medical field without research is incomplete. Her scientific work has got recognition nationally and internationally. She is pivotal in conducting regular research and scientific programs in Thangam cancer center. In her guidance center maintains a strong patient database and conducts various clinical trials.

To increase sensitivity of public towards cancer patients, she has conducted many workshops at grassroot level. She is very active in spreading awareness about cancer through camps interaction session and social media.
